On a fabulous holiday in Hoi An we decided we would visit just a few of the 90 or more tailors that operate there. A Dong silk was recommended to us by several people - many of whom had clothes made from this establishment. We were looked after by Van - a warm and friendly sales assistant. My husband ordered three pairs of trousers - 80 percent cashmere, 15 percent wool and 5 percent synthetic ensuring no need for ironing. The fit of the finished trousers was perfect. Van did a wonderful job and is a credit to the business . She was always pleasant and never tried to,push for the sale (unlike a couple of,the other establishments we visited). My friend and I came in around 4pm, leaving the next morning- not considering the fact that garments are made from scratch. While I'm sure it was not idea for A Dong Silk , they were happy to have my business and got the team to work. I purchased 4 suits and 2 dress shirts . Van was my main sales associate, and she was amazing! Getting fitted is scary, potentially after the first round of alterations; however once we made some adjustments, I was so impressed with the fit of each suit. I was so appreciative for how fast they created my garments , and am happy to show them off at my business meetings . **Just visit the largest store at 62 Tran Hung Dao .
