The old adage of "you get what you pay for" is so true when it comes to getting a suit made in Hoi An . Don't get me wrong, you will be able to find good suits. But an exceptional one, with exceptional service is worth paying a little extra for. The turnaround time is remarkable and the knowledge and advice they give is invaluable and helps make the process quite easy. In all I went for three fittings so that the suit was exactly how I wanted it to be . It now sits and fits perfectly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend A Dong . In fact, now they have my details, I will be ordering online in future (although I do plan to go back to Hoi An as it is such a charming place). I visited A Dong Silk  for the second time in a few years. Most of my garments from my first visit are still going strong and the service last time was great, so I had no reason to try another tailor in Hoi An . I'm so glad I went back! My boyfriend and I were both treated like royalty. We each had several garments made and are ecstatic with what we got. The lady who looked after me was Thoa at the Le Loi Street store and she was fantastic. The service is exceptional and the quality of the garments can't be faulted. Thanks again to the team at A Dong Silk . We are from the UK and I had been recommended A Dong silk from friends that came here a month before us. Great service . There are other cheaper tailors but I believe you get what you pay for and the quality of the material is very good. I had 2x 3 piece suits and a winter navy work jacket mate. We came for the original fitting and then just over a day later a first fitting. They all fit very well so there were minimal adjustments to make and the suits were finalized (pockets and buttons etc) for us to pick up the next day. Allow probably 3-4 days in total I would say but they are very quick and look after you well. Highly recommend! I went over to A Dong Silk and had no idea what I wanted, needed or was looking for. I hadn't been to a tailor before, so this was quite new to me. I was give an iPad where I could watch basically photos of everything, categorized in Womens and Mens , and thereafter dresses , skirts , jackets , shirts ... everything . My Phuong gave me the best service I could ever imagine. She showed me all different fabrics after I had decided what to get, and she came with suggestions on all things. As said, I had no idea of what I would get, which fabric I preferred or anything when I came into the store, but I went out and felt overwhelmed because I was(am) so happy of what I got. Got over there today to try everything on, (read; one day after my order ), and it all looked stunning. This is my first Tripadvisor review as I feel like the ladies at this place really deserve a huge kudos, especially Van who gave me one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. We had the pleasure of visiting this shop over the weekend and I had a few dresses and some other items made. As we were there for a short visit, I requested a very quick turnaround time for my items. I already had an idea of what I wanted, but if you don't know what you want, they have a catalogue of items online to tempt you with and plenty of fabric to choose from. For fashion fiends, this is like being a kid in a candy shop. I showed them the designs (a couple of which were quite complex) they assisted in picking out fabrics and made many useful suggestions along the way. This took a few hours as I had multiple items. I emailed them the pictures of the designs which they printed out for the tailors. I went in for 2 fittings over 2 days, though I would recommend a minimum of 3 ...

We tailor made two sets of suits for my friend. We spent three days in total to get the finished suits. Well fit and professional suggestions from the staff Denim. My friend love his new suits a lot. If we home Hoi An in future, We surely will visit this shop again. This was my first time in a tailoring shop and my first time in A Dong , and I'd strongly recommend both ! Having a suit made specifically for you is an experience in itself but the professional help on hand at A Dong makes it a very enjoyable one! The sales assistant who helped me was called Văn : right from the beginning, she was very friendly and helped me choose what fabric, colour and style would work for me whilst at the same time not being pushy or presuming that a final sale would be made. I found this last point particularly refreshing in Vietnam where most people demand a sale all of the time... At the end, I was very happy with the suit, the service and the help provided in shipping it home via the post office. Highly recommended! My husband spent a few days with A Dong on the recommendation of a friend and we couldn't be happier with his choice for bespoke clothing! After losing a lot of weight, nothing in his closet fit anymore and the tailors in the US couldn't get his old shirts to fit his new body. When my husband emerged from A Dong with about 10 business shirts, a sport coat, and 5 trousers, he looked like he stepped out of a high fashion boutique in Milan . They are all perfect on him! A Dong has a tremendous selection of material for men's suits, pants, and shirts, and their tailors are friendly and meticulous. One of the cool things they did was line the cuffs with contrasting fun prints so that they shirts are incredibly unique. Give yourself at least two to three full days at A Dong if you are planning on a large order of clothing. They are perfectionists and worth every penny (or Dong !). We had a great experience at A Dong . They did an amazing job. We were 5 people so they did suits, shirts, jackets, a wedding dress, formal dresses, jumpsuits, etc. All the products were exactly what we wanted. They will adjust until you're happy. I had an excellent customer experience in A Dong Silk . Since I got into the shop, a personal tailor, Ms. Khanh assisted me and gave me the best options for my clothes. I ordered two suits and four shirts. Best quality in all Hoi-An . Maybe I will order more clothes in a short time by the web and suggest the shop to my friends . If you are looking for a quality tailor in Hoi An and clothing that will look good and last (for years) then look no further than A Dong Silk . We can now confirm this from our two experiences spread over 4 years. In May 2012, I had 3 suits and 3 shirts made and my wife a number of dresses. I am still wearing two of those suits 4 years later, and my Wife's dresses still look amazing! As they keep your measurements (taken from finalised garments) and photos, I have had another suit, 2 x jackets an overcoat and many work shirts made via their online service and delivered with the same high quality - so can also highly recommend this service too. On this trip I was again expertly assisted and advised by Van who took great care over my three fittings ensuring that my three new suits, jacket and 10 shirts were of the highest quality and fit.
