Explore A Dong Silk - Best tailors in Hoian: Wedding dress made fantastically

I came here in October last year (I have waited to post this review so I could include photos after our wedding day). I had two photos of two different wedding dresses I liked and the seamstresses here were able to meld them together perfectly. I'd suggest to print these out or cut them from magazines before you head over to show them. Otherwise if you only have digital copies, make sure they're accessible to you as they will give you an email address to send them to so they have a reference point.

I absolutely love my dress and am so happy with how it turned out

I came in with my pictures and picked fabric and they took measurements on Tuesday night, had my first fitting on Thursday afternoon and final fitting and picked up the dress on Friday. Make sure you are very clear on what you want, as perhaps (giving benefit of the doubt) based on a miscommunication, I was quoted a ridiculously high amount for a much more intricate/detailed dress than I was actually wanting. Once we cleared that up though, were able to settle on a very reasonable price for the dress I wanted, certainly much cheaper than I would have been able to get at home.

I'll admit initially I was a little discouraged as the dress didn't quite sit as I'd imagined in the skirt however popping a hoop skirt underneath made it sit perfectly - was much better than getting them to sew one in as it was much easier to transport home. If I'd had a little more time I'm sure I could have got this organised at A Dong Silk as well, but as I said, was much easier to transport home without this so worked out for the best.

I absolutely love my dress and am so happy with how it turned out, thank you to Van and all the staff at A Dong Silk (especially the tailor, who attended my fittings (who's name I didn't get) she is very skilled), everyone did a fantastic job.

From Canada, we travelled to Vietnam and based on the recommendation of a fashion-industry friend, made a b-line for A-Dong in Hoi An. It was our first trip to Vietnam and we were amazed by the sheer number (200+)  tailor shops in Hoi An  - a hotbed of custom made clothing, shoes etc. We learned that most of these shops have a formal 'pay for referral' network amongst hotel concierges and others in the tourist industry - except A-Dong. They rely on their work and quality reputation and it is a good one. Best tailor in Hoi An: Super service, wonderful materials and absolutely lovely ladies who work there

If you will ever visit Hoi An in central Vietnam , the best you can do is visiting a tailor and ask them for a customized suit. When I have been in this town a few weeks ago I asked a lot of people which tailor I should choose to produce such a suit for myself as there really exist a looot of different ones. And thank God I asked the right people who recommended me a shop called " A DONG SILK ". That was the best decision I could make. They simply offer the biggest variety of materials as well as the best quality I have seen after comparing a few different tailors, it just takes one to two days until the suit is being finished and the staff is friendly and competent . My recommendation: Ask for Hong who is working at A Dong Silk . She really knows what she is doing, advices you in the best way and also has a good taste. Great Customer Service in Hoian

My fiance and I got the following items made: - grooms suit - 2 business suits - several pocket squares - 3 groomsmen suits - a dress for wedding tea ceremony Overall, the customer service was excellent and we were happy with the experience. We would both recommend : - come in with a really clear and specific understanding of what you want, including photographs, patterns, and an idea of the material that you want. - speak up if you are unhappy or want any changes - they are very happy to accommodate (within reason), but save yourself any disappointment by making this clear early on - set aside enough time for several days of fittings - check over clothes prior to collection (one of our groomsmen's pants were missing its buttons - they were horrified when we pointed it out and quickly fixed it) We are both very thankful to Khanh , Phuong and Van  for their patience.
