Explore A Dong Silk - Best tailors in Hoian: Excellent service. Attentive, but not pushy. Highly recommended

I chose A Dong Silk based on reputation/reviews and also based on the positive initial experience in store when compared with some other tailors in Hoi An. Rather than being chased around the store, being harassed into making purchases (as was often the experience elsewhere), we were given time to browse without pressure. Once I indicated I was interested in purchasing some clothing, the service I received from Khanh was attentive, friendly and professional.

I had a suit and two pairs of trousers measured, made, fitted, and collected within 48 hours of my initial visit. My first visit was approximately 7pm, followed by a first fitting 24 hours later, a second fitting approximately 11am the following day and collection at 5pm that evening.

Whilst A Dong Silk is comparatively expensive compared to some of the other tailors in Hoi An (albeit not when compared with Savile Row!) the range and quality of materials and efficient and slick service provided throughout by Khanh and her colleagues means I would have no hesitation in recommending this store. There is an added bonus that they keep your measurements on file, so further garments can be ordered and shipped internationally. I will definitely be using this service.

From Canada, we travelled to Vietnam and based on the recommendation of a fashion-industry friend, made a b-line for A-Dong in Hoi An. It was our first trip to Vietnam and we were amazed by the sheer number (200+)  tailor shops in Hoi An  - a hotbed of custom made clothing, shoes etc. We learned that most of these shops have a formal 'pay for referral' network amongst hotel concierges and others in the tourist industry - except A-Dong. They rely on their work and quality reputation and it is a good one. As an example, while we were there getting our measurements ( suits, shorts, dresses, overcoats, jackets, and more ) we noted a returning customer back in town from Australia after a 4 year absence. Best tailor in Hoi An: Super service, wonderful materials and absolutely lovely ladies who work there

If you will ever visit Hoi An in central Vietnam , the best you can do is visiting a tailor and ask them for a customized suit. When I have been in this town a few weeks ago I asked a lot of people which tailor I should choose to produce such a suit for myself as there really exist a looot of different ones. And thank God I asked the right people who recommended me a shop called " A DONG SILK ". That was the best decision I could make. They simply offer the biggest variety of materials as well as the best quality I have seen after comparing a few different tailors, it just takes one to two days until the suit is being finished and the staff is friendly and competent . My recommendation: Ask for Hong who is working at A Dong Silk . She really knows what she is doing, advices you in the best way and also has a good taste. Great Customer Service in Hoian

My fiance and I got the following items made: - grooms suit - 2 business suits - several pocket squares - 3 groomsmen suits - a dress for wedding tea ceremony Overall, the customer service was excellent and we were happy with the experience. We would both recommend : - come in with a really clear and specific understanding of what you want, including photographs, patterns, and an idea of the material that you want. - speak up if you are unhappy or want any changes - they are very happy to accommodate (within reason), but save yourself any disappointment by making this clear early on - set aside enough time for several days of fittings - check over clothes prior to collection (one of our groomsmen's pants were missing its buttons - they were horrified when we pointed it out and quickly fixed it) We are both very thankful to Khanh , Phuong and Van  for their patience.
